Meet the Facilitator
Melini Moses is the Director of Express Yourself and the founder of Youth Express, an online youth empowerment initiative focused on helping young adults with practical life skills, and storytelling ability. She is a multi-award-winning writer, editor, and strategic communication specialist known for helping leaders and organisations communicate with clarity, confidence and credibility. With more than two decades of experience across print, broadcast and digital platforms, Melini brings a strong storytelling lens to communication training, leadership development, media engagement and brand positioning. Through Express Yourself, she provides PR, communication strategy and training that equips professionals to represent themselves, their teams, and their organisations more effectively. Her accolades include CNN Journalist of the Year, National Press Club and SADC Gender in Media awards. She is a Dag Hammarskjöld and World Press Institute Fellow.
Melini has trained and mentored journalists in various newsrooms, equipping reporters and media professionals to strengthen their storytelling, sharpen their editorial judgement and communicate with greater impact. Her training is grounded in real newsroom experience and is known for being practical, empowering and deeply relevant to the demands of a changing communication landscape.
